Oceans invites visitors to immerse themselves in a world where art and awareness converge. Set against the impressive industrial heritage of the restored ring kiln, a visual journey unfolds that highlights both the power and the vulnerability of our oceans.
The exhibition brings together a diverse group of visual artists: painters, sculptors, photographers, and mixed-media artists. Each offers their own interpretation of the theme “Oceans.” Their work ranges from intuitive, abstract depictions of currents and depth to tranquil, poetic reflections on marine life, and from raw, earthy materials to installations in which light, sound, and movement play a central role. In dialogue with the raw architecture of the former brickworks, a tension emerges between the past and the future, earth and water.
“Oceans” will not be a traditional exhibition, but a total experience. Visitors will move through a scenography that stimulates, surprises, and immerses them, where art and the environment blend together and open up new perspectives. The exhibition aims not only to showcase beauty but also to raise awareness: an invitation to reflect on the state of our oceans and our shared responsibility for their future.
With “Oceans,” we hope to move and inspire every visitor and help them leave the exhibition with a renewed respect for the blue heart of our planet.
